Fauna

From Continuum Universes Wiki

Fauna refers to all non-sentient animal life within an ecosystem, characterized by tissues primarily composed of protein. This contrasts with Flora, which encompasses plant life whose tissues are predominantly made of cellulose. Fauna includes a wide range of organisms, from simple invertebrates to complex vertebrates, and plays a critical role in ecological processes such as predation, pollination, and nutrient cycling.
