Bantikor

Bantikor are a Hyper Carnivorous apex species native to the volatile world of Oolider III, a planet orbiting a volatile Blue Giant Star. Constant exposure to intense Omega Radiation has accelerated mutation and evolution across its biosphere, creating some of the most durable— and hostile —organisms in the Soodna Super Cluster. Among them, the Bantikor stands unmatched.

Feared as the uncontested Apex Predator of their world, Bantikor regularly bring down the largest Mega Fauna roaming Oolider III’s toxic jungles. Collectors across Galaxa covet them as trophies or living status symbols, though few are foolish enough to attempt long-term captivity.

Biology

Bantikor bodies are dense, muscular, and reinforced for high-impact predation. Their quilled backs function both as armor and as kinetic shock absorbers, allowing them to collide with prey at tremendous speed. Their vision is weak—almost vestigial—yet their olfactory senses rival the finest tracking animals in Galaxa.

Their saliva contains tissue-dissolving enzymes and trace venom; victims often perish from rapid soft-tissue destruction before the Bantikor even begins feeding.

Behavior

They are notoriously territorial and display extreme aggression toward anything that moves. Even juvenile Bantikor can overpower adult hunters from lesser predator species. Cannibalism is a core part of their life cycle: only the strongest survive, and the “upper limit” of their lifespan remains unknown because older Bantikor often consume rivals long before old age can claim them.

Ecology

On Oolider III, Bantikor occupy the top of a radiation-soaked food chain. Their evolution is tightly linked to the planet’s constant storms of Omega Radiation, which appear to accelerate regeneration and mutation. Predatory pressure from the Bantikor has shaped an entire ecosystem of armored, oversized, and hyper-resilient fauna.

• Shadowed Bantikor — Nocturnal variant adapted to low-light regions; even more elusive.
