RacesThe Neo-Terranites are the descendants of the Terranite race. They were genetically modified to be bigger, stronger, and more resilient to Alien Diseases and alien foods. They proved to be capable of eating many alien flora and fauna, and were resistant to the Zeta-1B Virus which nearly wiped out a fifth of Galaxan Human at the time. The Neo-Terranite did not interbreed with other Near-Human species or races of Galaxan Human sighting them as weak or "unpalatable".
Origins and Genetic Engineering
NeoâTerranites were created by the Terranite bioâtech consortium in the early 23rdâŻcentury to meet the demands of deepâspace colonisation and interstellar warfare. The modifications, delivered via a ClassâIV TelekaâDriveâassisted nanolaser implant, included:
- Muscleâfiber hyperplasia â increased myosin density for superior strength.
- Boneâdensity enhancement â reâstructured collagen matrix for greater impact resistance.
- Regenerative gene suite â spliceâins from Nordite and Elvari stemâcell regulators accelerate tissue repair.
- Immunity vector â a synthetic cassette granting resistance to Xenocryptic Pathogens.
These changes were first conceived during the Teleka renaissance, a period in which the Terranites received a ClassâIII Teleka Drive from the Elvariâan event that marked the beginning of humanâdriven technological evolution on Terra Prime.
Physical Characteristics
NeoâTerranites keep the visual hallmarks of their Terranite ancestorsâtanâtinged skin, brownâtoâblack hair, and amber or green eyesâyet they exhibit a more robust frame. Their dermal layers are embedded with a nanocore lattice, giving their skin a subtle metallic sheen and a thicker, more resilient texture.
Culture and Society
The NeoâTerranites foster a culture of martial discipline, scientific rigor, and unwavering loyalty to the Imperium of the Pure. Their societal hierarchy is meritâbased: genetic fitness, tactical skill, and fidelity to the Imperium dictate rank. Rituals such as the Purity Trials test physical resilience and reinforce collective identity.
Imperium of the Pure
Founded in 3650, the Imperium of the Pure is a theocraticâmilitary state spanning the Fedrik Galaxy and reaching the Aldorik Galaxywith numerous frontier colonies in other Galaxies. NeoâTerranites form the core of its military and administrative elite, wielding advanced weaponry and logistics derived from Terraniteâengineered technology. The Imperiumâs flag bears the Terranite Starâan homage to the Elvari giftâand its creed centres on purity of lineage, strength of body, and purity of purpose.
