Shaikû Trials
The Shaikû Trials are the ultimate rite of passage for warriors seeking to join the Shaikû Order, the elite protectors of the Royal Army. These trials test physical endurance, combat proficiency, survival skills, and mental fortitude. Only the most resilient warriors can hope to succeed.
Warriors who complete the trials may earn one of three fates:
- Flawless Completion: Title of Shaikû Commander, with eligibility for Master status after serving their tour and completing binding rituals.
- Skilled Completion: Title of Shaikû Knight, marking exceptional performance in most challenges.
- Failure: A return to their original Army without dishonor, though lacking the prestige of the Shaikû Order.
- Death: Participants who perish during the trials are honored with burial in the legendary Shaikû Crypt, a mile-wide, mile-high complex. Every thousand Lethurîan-years, the lower levels of the crypt are cremated to make room for new warriors.
