Malisik Horde
The Malisik Horde is one of the most feared militaristic organizations in the Lethurèa universe. Known for its relentless expansion, brutal tactics, and sheer overwhelming numbers, the Horde has terrorized for a million years. It consists of various warbands and species, each contributing to its reputation as a monstrous and unstoppable force.
Though once driven purely by conquest, the Malisik Horde underwent a dramatic shift when Mèra intervened, leading to a temporary surrender and disbandment of their war efforts.
Composition & Tactics
The Malisik Horde is composed of numerous savage species and warriors. Their primary tactics revolve around sheer numbers, psychological terror, and an utter disregard for conventional military strategy.
Notable Species
- Ok’tlugarg – Hulking warriors, often leading warbands
- Ganagôan – Agile and brutal fighters, often serving as blade fodder and berzerkers.

- Psychological Warfare – Known for the infamous Malisik Death Whistles, made from skulls of their enemies, which emit a sound akin to tortured souls screaming, striking terror into enemy ranks.
- Siege Tactics – Instead of traditional bombardment, the Horde uses gruesome methods, such as launching severed heads and body parts via catapults to demoralize defenders.
- Monstrous Cavalry – The Horde employs massive war beasts, including six-legged, armored reptiles capable of crushing fortified positions.
Role in the War
Slaughtering of Kaatok
The invasion of the Malisik Horde on Kaatok was a decisive and horrific conflict that led to the utter annihilation of both the Malisik Horde and the participating Free Species Force. The threat of Malisik Spores and resurgence of the Malisik Horde's presence on Kaatok led to the Tèran Imperial Navy razing the planet finding it "irredeemable". This conflict became known as the Slaughtering of Kaatok
War on Ûblai
The Malisik Horde played a pivotal role in the War on Ûblai. They fought taking ground in the early invasion, but the Valorèin Royal Army led by General Commander Duurin Lazarik made a decisive counteroffensive taking back ground and driving the Malisik Horde back. The Malisik Horde constructed a Atmospheric Disruptor in the hopes of freezing Ûblai, a lush tropical planet, into a permanent ice age. General Commander Lazarik and his forces destroyed the Disruptor. However, roughly three-Lethurèan-weeks or thirty days later he was killed on patrol. After this event the Malisik Horde rapidly advanced, pushing back the Valorèin Royal Army back to Zarkith, the most southern City on Ûblai's Northern Super-continent of Míhhra.
Initially an unstoppable force, they were eventually confronted by Mèra and Merik's forces, whom took an unexpected approach—rather than simply defeating them through brute force, they employed guerrilla warfare, striking in the dead of night, infiltrating their fortresses, killing scouting parties, and disrupting supply lines. They also employed psychological warfare. Merik Teslek when cloak in his Shiekuu Shrouding Cloak and wearing his War Mask he resembled a being from the Malisik folklore. This being was known as Varguud Dauharii or the Master Reaper. Merik and Mèra used the Mark of the Chosen as a brand and would drain individuals to death of their Vital Essence. They would leave others severally maimed or drained within an inch of their life.
After the Valorèin Royal Army had secured all, but the Valley of Nendathril south of Qoev'baka they massed an incredible defensive force in Yalvathril and Nendathril. Yalvathril sat in the nook of Mount Kilthar, provide only one direction of attack. In a decisive action at the Battle of Yalvathril, Mèra Ûrlek Teslek and Merik Teslek collapsed the hollow Mount Kilthar killing a million Malisik. The fear invoked by this extreme act of power created doubts within the ranks at Nendathril. The additional precision movement of the Valorèin Royal Army added increased intimidation. Ultimately this led to the quick and decisive slaughter of the Malisik Horde at Nendathril. The Valorèin forces would have been crippled by the presence of the Vurgorô High Commander, if it wasn't for the intervention of Mèra and Merik. The forces were left intact north of Qoev'baka protected by an immense Near-Space Battery Array. It kept the Valorèin Royal Army from sending drones or other aerial craft over Qoev'baka. This array had been constructed with the assistance of the Malisik Inquisition which had a key role on Ûblai.
The Malisik Horde was ultimately driven back to the Polar Crown after the array was destroyed by Mèra and Merik's strike teams. The Valorèin Royal Army advanced rapidly with Near-Space supremacy. Ultimately the Malisik Horde was unable to take the Teslek Lands as it was well defended by a militia of Veteran Warriors and the whole of the workers on the Teslek Lands. The Militia had taken minimal losses and the moral of the warriors was not faded by the long conflict. Ultimately, the Malisik Horde suffered defeat after the Valorèin Royal Army bombarded the inner Polar Crown with over a million Plasma Charges. The subsequent Battle of the Inner Crown led by Mèra and Merikthrough the Kroetar resulted in the swift annihilation of the remnant Malisik. A decisive attack on the Malisik Inquisition's stronghold and the death of Grand Inquisitor Zakar Golok left no chance of a counter-invasion.
However, remnants of the Horde still exist, with various rogue factions continuing their reign of terror in distant regions.
Cultural & Physiological Characteristics
While primarily seen as a war machine, the Horde has distinct cultural traits that define its members:
- Superstition & Myth – The Horde developed **a fear of Merik**, believing him to be an **immortal "Master Reaper"**, an entity that could never be killed.
- Hunger-Driven Warfare – Due to extreme metabolic requirements, the Horde must constantly raid and consume vast amounts of food and resources to sustain itself.
- Hierarchy of Strength – Leadership is determined by combat trials. Those who fail or show weakness are quickly eliminated.
- War Trophies – Self-mutilation, scarification, and trophies from fallen enemies are common among elite warriors.
- Sacrificial Initiations – Recruits must prove themselves through *The Blood Trial*, often involving killing a captive or surviving extreme conditions.
Current Status
Following their surrender to Mèra, the Malisik Horde was officially **dissolved**, though many warbands remain active in lawless regions. Some former members have sought to reintegrate into society, while others continue their violent ways under new banners.
The fate of the Horde remains uncertain, but whispers of a resurgence under new leadership have begun to circulate throughout the Galaxa universe.
