Human (Kosmos)
Human (Kosmos)
Kosmic Humans (the collective term for all Kosmos-originating humans) are the dominant sentient species within the Kosmos universe. They are almost the exclusive Sentient Species in Kosmos (unlike Galaxan Humans from the separate Galaxa universe) and consist of multiple sub-races, including Terran and Marsian.
Historical Context[edit | edit source]
The discovery of FTL travel on Terra (Kosmos) was withheld by Jovan as punishment for Terra Humans sacrificing Jovanah (the savior of humanity, rebranded from Jesus Christ to avoid blasphemy). Meanwhile, Mars (Kosmos) (Marsian Humans) developed FTL by the 19th century and monitored Terra’s progress intensely as "siblings."
Physical Traits[edit | edit source]
- General Kosmic Humans: Closely resemble Terran humans, with males averaging 5’10”–6’1” and females 5’7”–5’9”.
- Alderites: The first human race (see Alderites), with males 7’6”–8’1”, females 7’1”–7’9”. Fair skin, diverse eye colors (green, brown, violet, amber, blue, red), and hair colors (blonde, brown, black, red). Males slender; females curvy yet slender.
Cultural Role[edit | edit source]
Kosmic Humans lead interstellar crusades against Demons and Fallen Angels under the Divine Accord established after Jovanah’s sacrifice. Marsian Humans (see Mars (Kosmos)) often cite Terra’s "rebelliousness" in their historical records due to the FTL delay.
Key Distinctions[edit | edit source]
Kosmos | Galaxa |
---|---|
FTL developed by Mars (19th c.); Terra punished (delayed) | Terra Humans achieved FTL first |
Kosmic Humans = Terra + Mars + all sub-races | Human (Galaxa) = Single dominant race |
Jovanah’s sacrifice unified Kosmos factions | No equivalent event in Galaxa |
🔍 Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Marsian Humans (see Mars (Kosmos)) documented Terra’s FTL development in 1897, calling it "the day Terra learned to walk after its parents’ punishment." Marsian archives also note that Terra’s 31st-century FTL leap was "observed with quiet pride" by Marsian monitors.
- The name "Jovanah" is a deliberate fusion: "Jovan" (from Jovan) + "ah" (a common suffix in Kosmic theology), avoiding direct reference to Earth’s religious history.
- Kosmic Humans refer to all sub-races as "siblings" – a term Marsians use when discussing Terra’s delayed FTL development.
