The Aspects

Overview

The Aspects are a rare and powerful class of reincarnating spirits within Galaxa, chosen by the Divine Parents, Esmerelea and Theadrid, in the Primordial Eon to serve as protectors of the Median Plane. They are the only mortals to possess Divine Control over all three major magic systems—Magicka, Astral (Galaxa), and Teleka—allowing them to counteract their weaknesses, merge their strengths, and wield abilities beyond mortal comprehension.

While an Aspect's primary role is to defend the Median Plane from cosmic-scale threats, they are rarely called upon, leading many to live their mortal lives unaware of their true nature until they experience their awakening. When awakened, an Aspect recalls all past lives and abilities, becoming a force of balance within the universe.

Due to their immense power, Aspects are sought after, feared, and even hunted by various factions, particularly before their awakening.

Purpose of the Aspects

Aspects are not ordinary reincarnating spirits—their purpose is deeply tied to the stability of the universe.

• Their primary duty is to protect the Median Plane from existential threats beyond mortal comprehension.
• If a dimensional rift between the Median Plane and the Prison Dimension is ever torn open, only an Aspect, Esmerelea, or Theadrid can reseal it.
• They have an unspoken divine authority that allows them to usurp deities and forcibly revert faith-powered beings back to immortals.

Despite this, Aspects are not given direct orders from their Divine Parents and are left to discover their purpose on their own, often struggling with their identity in a universe that sees them as either a tool, a savior, or a threat.

Selection & Reincarnation

Aspects are not chosen randomly—their spirits were selected before the Median Plane was even inhabited during the early years of Galaxa's creation.

• Only the fifty original spirits chosen in the Primordial Eon can ever be born as Aspects.
• Regular spirits follow the Universal Law Tenet of Life and Death, but Aspects follow the Universal Law Tenet of the Aspects, which grants them the Sub-Tenet of Reincarnation.
• After an Aspect dies, their soul returns to the Celestial Plane for exactly 10,000 years before being reborn.
• Given this long reincarnation cycle, only five Aspects exist at any given time.

It is estimated that around fifty Aspects exist in total, awaiting their next reincarnation.

Powers & Unique Abilities

Aspects are considered the most powerful mortals in Galaxa, surpassing even the strongest practitioners of Magicka, Astral (Galaxa), and Teleka.

• They are divinely attuned to all three magic systems, giving them an unparalleled mastery of magical forces.
• They are immune to the weaknesses of each magic system—for example:
  • Magicka users are vulnerable to Astral disruptors, but Aspects are not.
  • Astral (Galaxa) users struggle to influence Teleka disciplines, but Aspects can.
  • Teleka practitioners require discipline and training, but Aspects are naturally gifted.
• Their ability to combine multiple magic systems allows them to create unique spells and abilities beyond normal practitioners' understanding.
• Even before awakening, an Aspect is naturally stronger, faster, and more skilled than others of their species.

However, only awakened Aspects can access their full abilities—unawakened Aspects must still train from the ground up, albeit at an accelerated rate.

Awakening & Past Life Memory

An Aspect does not remember their past lives upon birth. They must first awaken, a process that:

• Unlocks all memories and training from previous incarnations.
• Grants them full access to Divine Control over Magicka, Astral, and Teleka.
• Can be triggered by extreme events, such as life-threatening situations or deep spiritual enlightenment.

Until they awaken, Aspects must re-learn their magic like any other mortal, though they do so far faster than normal practitioners.

Why Are Aspects So Rare?

Aspects are exceedingly rare due to their long reincarnation cycle and the limited number of spirits chosen.

• Only five Aspects can exist at any given time.
• The 10,000-year reincarnation cycle ensures that only a fraction of the fifty total Aspects are ever alive at once.
• This limitation is enforced by the Universal Law Tenet of the Aspect.

The Hunt for Aspects

Due to their unparalleled power, Aspects are frequently hunted, recruited, or manipulated by various factions.

• Certain factions fear Aspects and attempt to eliminate them before they awaken.
• The Five Teleka Factions often seek to recruit unawakened Aspects, hoping to mold them before they unlock their full potential.
• However, once an Aspect awakens, their destiny is entirely their own, and no faction can control them.
• Entities with a particular hatred for Aspects have been sealed within the Prison Dimension.

What Happens When All Five Aspects Awaken?

When all five active Aspects are awakened at the same time:

• Practitioners of all magic systems can feel their presence through their respective magic sources.
• The balance of power in Galaxa shifts, as their awakening often signals a great cosmic event or crisis.
• However, Aspects do not instinctively seek each other out—they come from completely different, unconnected lives, making their meeting as unlikely as any other strangers crossing paths.

Legacy & Influence

The Aspects are among the most mysterious and powerful beings in Galaxa. They:

• Have shaped the course of history, often without realizing it.
• Have been the decisive factor in multiple cosmic crises.
• Are feared, revered, and sought after, yet rarely understood.

Even in times of peace, their presence ripples through the cosmos, ensuring that their legend endures.
