Ûvlâ is a lush, jungle-covered planet located in the First Valorîin Kingdom and former stronghold of the Lizoy'in. It is a planet of great historical, cultural, and strategic importance, marked by a rich tapestry of ecosystems, legendary battles, and celestial mysteries.
The planet's surface is dominated by expansive jungles, towering bioluminescent trees, and treacherous terrain like the Polar Crown, the ancient jungle of Qoev'baka, and Northern Reaches. These features make it both a haven for biodiversity and a challenging environment for its inhabitants.
History
Pre-Valorîin Era
The Lizoy'in were the original inhabitants of Ûvlâ, known for their sophisticated fortress cities like Maukithril and Nozik'dor. They thrived by mining ores until the planet's resources were depleted.
During this time, the Det'sikar (fallen Sherok) were drawn to Ûvlâ, leading to the Battle of the Northern Reaches. The Ancient Hero and Heroine, Merek Tetorak and Maira Tetorak, and their followers defeated thousands of Det'sikar, burying their remains in what became cursed burial mounds.
The Great Fires
The Great Fires of Ûvlâ occurred over 850,000 years ago when the Malisik Inquisition deployed an orbital superweapon to torch the planet. The planet's natural rain cycles and efforts by the Valorîin Royal Fleet ultimately extinguished the fires, but not before they devastated the Lizoy'in population.
The jungle region Qoev'baka survived the fires, becoming a symbol of resilience and a refuge for the Lizoy'in hunters who remained.
Valorîin Colonization
Following the Great Fires, the Valorîin claimed Ûvlâ, using Terramorphing technology to restore the planet's ecosystems. The First Valorîin Kingdom established its headquarters on the planet, building the Royal Palace and other prominent sites.
The War on Ûvlâ
The War on Ûvlâ was a pivotal conflict during which Mîra Ûrlek Teslek and Merik Teslek led the Valorîin Royal Armed Forces to victory against the Malisik Horde.
Geography and Environment
Ûvlâ features two continents:
- Maiçra (Northern Continent): Known for its jungles, fertile plains, and fortress cities.
- Malon (Southern Continent): Dominated by trade hubs and cultural centers.
Key geographic features include:
- Polar Crown: A jagged mountain range enclosing the northern polar region.
- Northern Reaches: A cursed region with burial mounds of the Det'sikar.
- Kilthar Mountains: Steep cliffs and high-altitude forests, that was turned into a Kilthar Crater by Mîra Ûrlek Teslek and Merik Teslek.
Flora and Fauna
Most of Ûvlâ's fauna are non-native, as most of them were killed during the Great Fires. The flora on the otherhand is mostly native, as seeds were found that survived the Great Fires Ûvlâ is renowned for its bioluminescent flora and deadly fauna:
- Flora: Loema Flower, Borsha Tree
- Fauna: Guurith Ripper Scorpion, Rok
Cultural Significance
The planet's history is deeply interwoven with the Valorîin's lore and spirituality. Sites like The Royal Palace City and Qoev'baka are integral to the local Valorîin's culture their culture.
Trivia
- Ûvlâ's skies and oceans are green due to unique atmospheric conditions.
- Merik Teslek's cartography of the Northern Reaches remains vital to modern exploration.
- The Northern Reaches remains a hazardous region due to lingering corruption from the Det'sikar burial mounds.
