The term Malisik refers to any being, creature, species, or creation aligned with the corrupted will of Malis, the fallen false god imprisoned in Gozog'nok. Malisik can refer to individuals within three major factions:
- The monstrous Malisik Horde â corrupted or bio-engineered species born of flesh-warping spores and ritual sacrifice.
- The secretive Malisik Inquisition â a cult of spirit-scientists, ritualists, diabolic engineers and twisted bioengineers practicing abominable mockeries of divine creation.
- The ruling Det'sikar Warlords â fallen Sherok Warlords, acting generals who command the Horde in the name of Malis and his prophet, Malismorai.
Malisik is not a speciesâit is a theological designation, marking one as spiritually blackened, ideologically corrupted, and existentially severed from It'slĂŠmwĂŠ.
Origins
The Malisik was the name given to those Spirits in the Pre-Mortal Existence that sided with Malis and warred with the other spirit tribes in the True First War. They first truly emerged following the imprisonment of Malis in the black prison-plane of Gozog'nok. His spiritual essence seeped from its lower strata, corrupting any spirits within Gozog'nok. These twisted spirits became the first Malisik.
When the fallen Sherok Warlord Morai and his other Sherok Warlords entered Gozog'nok and were transformed by Malis, he was assigned by Malis to create an army greater than even the Sebuuk. Malismorai assisted in conceiving flesh for the corrupted spirits of the Malisik, forming a blasphemous cycle of resurrection. The Malisik Inquisition perfected this process, giving rise to entire castes of creatures and beings. Evenly they resurrected Sebuuk in mockery of Universal Law.
Biology and Reproduction
Malisik do not reproduce sexually. Upon death, their corpses release Malisik Spores which infect the surrounding area. These spores grow into egg-like pods and eventually hatch into Malisik Larvae. In the wild, these larvae grow into full Malisik forms through predation and instinct. Within the Inquisition's breeding pits, corpses are liquified in vats to accelerate larval growth. Special hybrids like the Suk'uu'luu are created by implanting spores in the wombs of a Shemèin Zelka.
Structure and Ranks
Malisik society is clan-based, with each Malisik War Clan ruled by the strongest, smartest, or most feared. There are no formal rank names; status is signified through tattoos, body mutilations, and ritual scarring.
- Ok'tlugarg â Intelligent warlords often leading clans
- Ongorga â Massive brutes, feared but not often leaders
- VurgorĂ´ â Mutated elites on the verge of self-destruction
- Vulgarok â Reborn Sebuuk capable of walking in starlight
The Inquisition acts as the Horde's priesthood and scientific core, while the Det'sikar Warlords function as demonic generals and interpreters of Malis' will.
Punishment and Sacrifice
Failure among the Malisik is punished by death, dismemberment, or transformation. Corpses are either:
- Recycled into Uuthga, a regenerating protein slurry,
- Broken down to fertilize spores, or
- Transformed into Malisik Husks a Zombie-like automaton of hollowed flesh
Victories are celebrated with immediate sacrifice. Deformed, elderly, or malfunctioning Malisik are ritually fed to Malis as acts of devotion.
Belief and Worship
Malisik worship Malis as their god, and Malismorai as his prophet. They believe:
- War itself is worship.
- Sacrifice of the Free Species strengthens Malis.
- The Divine Law is a lie meant to weaken the strong.
After the fall of Malismorai some believed:
- The Chosen Heroine is a liberatorâher light awakens something ancestral and maternal within them, linked to Meera Jenlek.
- Some Malisik kneel before her, whispering, âBright One.â
Technology and War
Malisik weapons, armor, and vehicles are forged with Ore of Gozog'nok, resistant to divine metals and capable of piercing holy armaments. The Inquisition supplies:
The Horde itself crafts brutal, crude, yet effective equipment, often fashioned from corpses, bone, and corrupted ore.
Warfare and Tactics
Malisik are infamous for:
- Psychological warfare via Death Whistles (carved from victims' skulls)
- Siege tactics using resurrected corpses and liquified flesh
- Weaponized use of spores, body parts, and fauna organs
- Tactical recycling of their own fallen via spores or vats
- Fully blown planet wide invasions
They cannot breach It'slĂŠmwĂŠ, as its light burns their corrupted essence, but they have developed methods to black out stars deep within their territory.
Legacy and Prophecy
Malisik are a spiritual blightâa wound in the Universal Order. Their continued existence is a direct challenge to Merrik Jenlek and Meera Jenlek.
The extinction of their physical forms is prophesied, but so is their liberation. Some believe the Chosen Heroine will redeem them. Others think they will be cast back into Gozog'nok screaming in the dark.
Malis feeds on every unnatural deathânot the spirit, but the essence released. The Inquisition believes that with enough slaughter, Malis will escape. This is, however, a lie. Divine Law forbids destruction of a universeâbut it also forbids the release of those sealed by Judgement.
