Overview

Tungsten is the seventy-fourth element of the Periodic Elements and the Continuum’s legendary Unmelting Metal — a dark, heavy, unbelievably heat-resistant element forged deep in planetary mantles and enriched by stellar collapse zones.

Where Iron is the warrior and Steel is the soldier Tungsten is the unburning warlord.

This metal does not yield. It does not forgive. It does not break unless you beg it.

Tungsten and Noelaran Biology

The Noelaran interact with tungsten uniquely:

Tungsten runes remain intact even under starfire temperatures.
Golems forged with tungsten hearts are rumored to fight until their limbs fall off.
Tungsten blades are used to crack Iridium — one of the few things that can.
Its symbol (W) comes from “wolfram,” meaning “wolf’s foam,” due to its tenacity in ore form.
