The First Mother is the matron of creation, the archetypal mother from whom all Divine Parents take inspiration. Together with the First Father, she discovered the sacred truth that only a binary union could generate spirits and souls. Her role is nurturing and wise, raising the first generations of children with perfect love.

Sacred Name and Epithets

Her true name is too sacred to reveal to mortals, spirits, or even primordial gods. To all outside the Divine Family she is known only as the First Mother, or by her epithets: Bearer of Life, Matron of Creation. The secrecy of her name preserves her sanctity and sets her apart from all later divines.

Forms and Depictions

Her form varies across the universes she has touched. Some describe her as elven and ethereal, others as human and regal. Always she appears humanoid, graceful, and radiant. Common depictions show her with silver or starlit hair, eyes glowing with maternal compassion, and robes that flow like rivers of light.

Role in the Divine Family

As the archetypal Mother, she established the precedent of divine nurture. Her responsibilities included:

  • Guiding the first spirits toward wisdom and growth.
  • Shaping the earliest forms of Universal Law with gentleness and foresight.
  • Ensuring every child received perfect love, even those not of direct divine lineage.

Relationship to Children

Her love is often described as unconditional and absolute. The first spirits and souls looked to her as the source of warmth, wisdom, and care. Later divines still visit her, much as mortals return to a grandmother, seeking her counsel.

Legacy

Her influence continues through every Divine Mother who followed. All divines measure their maternal responsibilities against her example, and her epithets echo through divine philosophy and hymn.
