== Origins ==

The Malisik was the name given to those Spirits in the [[Pre-Mortal Existence (Lethurèa)|Pre-Mortal Existence]] that sided with [[Malis]] and warred with the other spirit tribes in the [[True First War (Lethurèa)|True First War]]. They first truly emerged following the imprisonment of [[Malis]] in the black prison-plane of [[Gozog'nok]]. His spiritual essence seeped from its lower strata, corrupting any spirits within [[Gozog'nok]]. These twisted spirits became the first Malisik.

Malis feeds on every unnatural death—not the spirit, but the essence released. The Inquisition believes that with enough slaughter, Malis will escape.
