Zarkest is the most volatile of the Celestial Elements. Comparable to hydrogen in conceptual structure, it contains enough energetic density that a single molecule can propel a starship to lightspeed.
Properties
- Holds extreme spacetime-bending energy
- Perfectly stable until intentionally activated
- Reacts by warping geometry rather than burning
- Incredibly dangerous if mishandled
- Emits faint exotic spectral signatures
Even microscopic leakage of Zarkest can devastate moons or planetary surfaces.
Distribution
Zarkest is hidden within the silicate-rock cores of gas giants in Lethurîa, held stable by intense pressure and gravity. The First-Flames concealed it there out of fear of misuse.
Uses
- Stardrives
- Dimensional tunneling
- High-tier propulsion systems
- (Forbidden) cosmic weaponry
