The First Divine Parents are the original marital pair of Divines, from whom all others descend. They are the archetype of Divine Parents, the first to wield the Rights of Divine Creation and the only beings who discovered the secret that only through binary union could spirits and souls be begotten. From their union arose the first universes, the first children, and the foundation of the Divine Family itself.

Sacred Names

Though they possess true names, these are considered too sacred to be spoken outside of the Divine Family. Mortals, spirits, primordial gods, and even immortal champions are never permitted to hear them. To all non-divine beings, they are simply and reverently addressed as the First Mother and the First Father. This secrecy preserves their sanctity and sets them apart from all later divines.

Overview

The First Divine Parents established the precedent of divine parenthood: creating universes, bringing forth spirits and souls, and laying down Universal Law. Their perfect union became the model for every later pair of Divine Parents, and their love is described as absolute, eternal, and indivisible. Every Divine acknowledges them as the “grandparents” of creation, and their example continues to shape the expectations of divine marriage and responsibility.

Origin and Mysteries

The origin of the First Mother and First Father is unknown, even to themselves. They appeared at the dawn of fathoming, discovering through trial that only a binary pair could create spirits and souls. They acknowledge several mysteries higher than themselves, including the source of consciousness, creativity, and free will. These unknowns are woven into divine philosophy as eternal questions that even the highest beings contemplate.

Forms and Depictions

Their forms are always humanoid, bearing either human or elven traits, though each universe portrays them differently. Some worlds describe them as radiant beings crowned with celestial light, while others see them as pastoral figures, simple and nurturing. Regardless of variations, they are always complementary in stature and beauty: a Mother of grace and wisdom, a Father of strength and guardianship.

Responsibilities

As the first Divine Parents, they set the standard for all that followed:

  • Creation – Wielded the Rights of Divine Creation to produce universes, spirits, and souls.
  • Universal Law – Authored the earliest forms of Universal Law to protect and challenge their children.
  • Nurturing – Raised the first generations of spirits, guiding them with perfect love.
  • Judgment – Established the tradition of Judgment Day, where souls are uplifted, immortalized, or imprisoned.
  • Mentorship – Continue to serve as guides to later divines, welcoming them as children and siblings in the Divine Family.

Legacy and Veneration

All Divines look back to the First Parents as the fountainhead of their family. Visiting one’s own parents and returning to the First Parents is part of the rhythm of divine life, much like mortals visiting grandparents. They are venerated not with worship but with reverence, as the very pattern by which family, creation, and judgment are sustained.
